Brandon St. Pierre

Brandon joined Aaron Gordon Daykin Nordlinger as an associate in 2018. Originally from Campbell River, B.C. Brandon received his BSc (honours) in Psychology from the University of Victoria in 2011, and his law degree from the University of Calgary in 2014. Prior to joining Aaron Gordon Daykin Nordlinger, Brandon was called to the Alberta bar in 2015 and practiced with a prominent family law boutique in Calgary. He was called to the British Columbian bar in 2018.

Brandon’s family law practice includes all areas of family law, with a focus on financial matters including complex asset division and spousal support. In particular, Brandon has experience with private business owners, with officers of publicly traded companies and professionals with complex remuneration structures, and in support variation applications. He resolves cases through negotiated settlement, mediation, and litigation, including at trial as both lead and co-counsel. He has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and Alberta, and his reported decisions include:

H.C.F. v D.T.F, 2024 BCSC 574 – Following a sharp decline in a payor’s income, he successfully applied to reduce their monthly child support and spousal support obligations and obtained reimbursement for support overpayments totalling $614,144.

Cohoon v. Stobo, 2023 BCCA 479 (co-counsel) – Successfully appealed the trial judge’s finding that the recipient was entitled to compensatory spousal support and ended the payor’s ongoing spousal support obligations.

Brandon has volunteered with the Canadian Bar Association, taught Continuing Legal Education seminars, and is a contributing author to the British Columbia Family Practice Manual.
