Angela E. Dunn

Angela was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005 and has worked at two boutique family law firms in Downtown Vancouver prior to joining AGDN. Since 2006, Angela’s practice has been focused on the resolution of complex family law matters. She has successfully argued cases in the Supreme Court across British Columbia and in the Yukon as well as in the Court of Appeal.
Angela commenced her legal career in Germany where she obtained a law degree from the University of Cologne in 1998. She was called to the Bar in Germany and successfully completed the judicial training program which qualified her to be a judge in the German civil law system in 2001.
In 2002, Angela moved to Canada and completed her Canadian common law studies at the University of British Columbia. During her time at UBC law school, Angela won the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition in 2002 and worked as a research assistant in the area of international law.
From 2013 until 2022, Angela has served as an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association (Vancouver) Family Law Subsection and served as the subsections Co-Chair from 2017 – 2019. Angela was an executive member of the Women Lawyers Forum for six years and served as Co-Chair of the WLF Education Committee from 2007 – 2009 and 2014 – 2018. Angela is a mentor to other lawyers through the WLF Mentoring Program.
In addition to English, Angela is fluent in German and represents many German-speaking clients.
